FRESH AIR
DARK FAMILY SECRET
GEORGE TOWN: A 17-year-old boy kept a dark family secret all to himself for the past three years.
Back in 2006 when he was only 14, his father took him along to bury his younger sister, then 7, at a field near the Sunshine Farlim Hypermarket here.Yesterday, the teenager led a police team to the open field about 1pm to recover human bone fragments and a skull, believed to be that of his sister.
Shocking to hear things like that, but the poor boy.........
it must have been the guilt of knowing and being part of it.
but i guess he was too young to understand at that time, and not being able to do anything about it...... until now !
It was also reported that the girl has some sort of disability......
makes me think, if guilt has finally catch up with the boy who witnessed the killing,
what about the father ???
We are lucky to be blessed with children........ cherish them no matter what

THINGS YOU NEVER KNEW YOUR CELLPHONE COULD DO
1. The Emergency Number worldwide for **Mobile** is 112
If you find yourself out of coverage area of your mobile network and there is an emergency, dial 112 and the mobile will search any existing network to establish the emergency number for you, and interestingly this number 112 can be dialed even if the keypad is locked. **Try it out.**
2. Subject: Have you locked your keys in the car? Does you car have remote keys?
This may come in handy someday. Good reason to own a cell phone:
If you lock your keys in the car and the spare keys are at home, call someone at home on their cell phone from your cell phone. Hold your cell phone about a foot from your car door and have the person at your home press the unlock button, holding it near the mobile phone on their end. Your car will unlock. Saves someone from having to drive your keys to you. Distance is no object. You could be hundreds of miles away, and if you can reach someone who has the other "remote" for your car, you can unlock the doors (or the trunk).
3. Subject: Hidden Battery power Imagine your cell battery is very low , you are expecting an important call and you don't have a charger.
Nokia instrument comes with a reserve battery.
To activate, press the keys *3370#
Your cell will restart with this reserve and the instrument will show a 50% increase in battery. This reserve will get charged when you charge your cell next time.
4. How to disable a STOLEN mobile phone? To check your Mobile phone's serial number, key in the following digits on your phone: * # 0 6 #
A 15 digit code will appear on the screen. This number is unique to your handset.
Write it down and keep it somewhere safe. when your phone get stolen, you can phone your service provider and give them this code.
They will then be able to block your handset so even if the thief changes the SIM card, your phone will be totally useless.

EARTH DAY
Perverts preying on the blind
THE blind, especially women, have become targets of depraved people out for a cheap thrill.
They are sometimes groped while being assisted across the road, scolded or even punched for no reason in the heart of Kuala Lumpur.
It is a situation that begs to be swiftly addressed, said the deputy executive director of the Malaysian Association of the Blind, Geoffrey Ooi.
"I have heard of so many cases. I even accompanied one woman to the police station to make report, but nothing much has been done to investigate these incidents."
Maziah Abu Bakar, president of the Society of the Blind Malaysia, said blind women, especially those working in the Brickfields area, had been taken advantage of.
Here we are, supposedly a friendly caring society, and this is happening.
and guess what....... happening is braod daylight, there must be poeple around....
no one cares.....and where are the police that are patrolling the streets ?
and just a short distance away, there is a main police station.

RUBINA FOR SALE ?
Rubina Ali is for sale for RM 1.5m !!
This time as age ,...... is this still happening ?
She was the award winning child actress, and now she is for sale,
because according to her father, he needs the money, and he wants to gice her a better future.
."sigh".
Makes me wonder, doesn't she gets anything from staring in the award winning film.
is this a good example of exploitation by big companies ? or exploitation in the 3rd world ?
where is the fairness of all this. ? i would have assumed that since the film is a big hit,
everyone that was involved with the production of it would have benefited from it.
or is it just that few person, who have since got fame and fortune, while the rest stays in the slum !

PORK STEW
Its simple. you just need some prok ribs 排骨(reason, less fat), carrot , radish, shitake mushrooms, and a few small pieces of ginger.
cut them up, put in the pot and boil.
boild the ribs first, cause it takes the longest to cook, to get it to be soft.
then add in the other ingredients.
the whole process takes about an hour or so. make sure enough water is in there.
lastly, once everything is nice and soft.(but not too soft) add in some oyster sauce, and thick soya sauce. and its done.
goes with a nice soup (鸡,淮山,玉竹 烫) a nice and complete meal....... :-)
LC loves it.

VANDALS - it happened again
VANDALS........ this the malaysian way ? Malaysian mentality ?
It happened again at my apartment lift.
Some "BOYS" i guess did this, and this is not the first time.
All the buttons got burnt ! , and even when some people tried to stick some numbers there to help the normal users,
even that...... they remove !
Don't they know that they (those who stay here) or their parents are paying for it as well ?
and why should we..... pay for it ?
It comes down to parenting.........
(I am making the assumtion that they are kids)
Parents play an important role in educating the younger generation.
So, what are the parents doing about this ? If they did, why did it happened again ?
sigh.................
What the future holds for our society, our country ?? if this type of behaviour is so common !!
